It doesn’t get any better than this. Some very special moments have played out on the Bedford stage, and this stacks right up near the top. An emotional night to say the least as Robbie Black pulled Jim Leidy’s car up the ramp, followed by Jim on the back of Rick Singleton’s cycle. Extreme jubilation would be an understatement, a popular win indeed. And at the same time many of us knew the health issues Jim was dealing with and wondered if he would ever have the opportunity to share a feature win with his driver & friends on that stage. If ever a moment could be frozen in time, this would be it. Below Eric Zembower interviews car owner Jim Leidy on the very stage that Jim roamed as the Bedford promoter in the mid 1980’s.
